Drawing to Calm Anxiety

As I communicate with students each week, many of them report feeling anxious, out of sorts, out of sync with sleep cycles and missing social interactions with friends at school. Art journaling can help reduce anxiety by putting words to those feelings. Journaling can be used as a coping skill to adjust to life in quarantine, and art can be a part of that. For this assignment, students were given a list of art journal prompts to respond to. They were able to choose from the list, and use whatever materials they had available to complete the pages in their sketchbook.
